ahh i don’t read much gen fic unfortunately (though i think my idea of what is “gen” is really skewed when it comes to dean and cas, since their friendship is the basis of everything to me D;—i probably read more than i think i do then!) ! but i will always be delighted to rec this really excellent s5 based fic that if you haven’t read yet i would certainly do so now!!

i was searching my room frantically for my phone and in the process stumbled upon a box of old papers, and in it was this constellation map i had kept for some reason and it made me very emotional very quickly and i think you can see why
then i remembered that the bunker has a small observatory and oh god please can i have a scene next season with Cas stargazing

also one of the reasons 8.11 is one of my favourite episodes, i love it when Dean gets to have fun and make friends and love and be loved and be honest and easy on himself because it’s the most beautiful sight to see. i hope he gets a lot more of that next season!! and gets to bring Cas along with that experience as well :’)

Didn’t Anna rip her own grace out to escape heaven? These angels have been forcefully expelled so it might be different? It’ll be interesting to see about the vessel-less ones, though.
she did, though i thought there was strong implication that the fallen angels this time would all be in a similar state to Castiel?? but that was left extremely ambiguous, probably on purpose, so yeah who knows! but it’s true they might just all be in a similar state to Castiel’s “fall” in s5 where he never actually lost his grace so much as had its power sapped by division and distance.
