#you know what these smiles are? #aside from the first ones really ever exchange between them? #they are the evidence of something being shared again #of a mutual mirth #of a newly reborn friendship #and Dean and Castiel #they understand something about rebirth #when Castiel says 'i see now resurrection is a punishment--it's worse every time' #he of course #is referring only to himself #but this #this thing between them? #it defies all the rules of resurrection #because punishment or not #cursed or not #they'd rather have #each other #otp: the greatest love story ever told
